Job Summary:
The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Technologist 3, Microbiology. The successful candidate will:
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Microbiology and Virology Laboratories.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Microbiology and Virology; specific familiarization with variant equipment.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of quality control, maintenance and troubleshooting on Microbiology and Virology methodologies and instrumentation.
- Demonstrate flexibility as duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above description.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Physical or Biological Sciences.
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASCP certification.
- Prior Microbiology work experience.

Variable Days; Variable Hours (Full-Time)
