Job Skills / Requirements
The Residential Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents and property within a residential community. This role involves conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, responding to incidents, and providing a visible security presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol Duties:
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the residential community to deter and detect suspicious activity.
- Check doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security breaches.
- Surveillance:
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to unusual activities.
- Conduct spot checks of common areas, parking lots, and other critical locations.
- Maintain awareness of the surroundings and remain vigilant at all times.
- Incident Response:
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents within the community.
- Assist in evacuations and provide guidance during emergency situations.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, patrols, and incidents.
- Prepare detailed incident reports for any security breaches, accidents, or emergencies.
- Report any suspicious activities or security concerns to the Head of Security.
- Resident Interaction:
- Provide assistance and support to residents and visitors in a courteous manner.
- Address resident complaints and concerns, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Foster a sense of safety and community among residents.
- Policy Enforcement:
- Enforce community rules and regulations to maintain order and safety.
- Issue warnings or citations for violations as per community guidelines.
- Assist in the implementation of security policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: Security Guard license as required by state law.
- Skills:
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergencies.
- Basic knowledge of security systems and protocols.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.

- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Uniforms will be provided and must be worn while on duty.
