We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic individual to join our team as a Cook for our unit. This position is crucial for our patients' recovery and involves various food service tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor.
All applicants must complete a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, along with a comprehensive background check and a TB test.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cooks in quantities according to the menu and the number of people served.
- Bake bread, rolls, pastries, and prepare desserts.
- Cleans carts, racks, prep tables, sinks, dish machines, and floors.
- Develops, compiles, and maintains food records regarding meal count, usage, production, and temperature logs.
- Helps inventory supplies and equipment.
- Refill, stock, and rotate food items using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.
- Assists in checking in and putting away deliveries from food vendors.
- Break down boxes and dump trash as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
