The Billing and Pay Specialist plays a key role in keeping our brokerage running smoothly by ensuring customer invoices and carrier settlements are accurate, timely, and on point. What You’ll Do
- Work closely with internal teams to understand customer billing requirements and make sure invoices meet quality standards
- Process customer invoices promptly after loads are delivered
- Investigate and resolve unbilled loads (you love a good mystery)
- Process carrier settlements to keep payments timely and relationships strong
- Handle billing and settlement corrections with accuracy and care
- Run reports and post invoices daily and monthly
- Jump in on other projects as needed—teamwork makes it all work
What You Bring
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in billing, accounting, collections, settlements, or a related field
- Working knowledge of billing, accounts payable, and administrative processes
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- A self-motivated, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work independently
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- High standards of confidentiality and professionalism
- A positive, team-first mindset and flexibility to support various projects

Compensation & Benefits:
- The anticipated hourly pay range for this position begins at $20.00 - $22.50 per hour. Hourly pay rate offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work. In addition to the hourly rate of pay, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
