The Implementation Specialist serves as an Implementation Support Practitioner (ISP) dedicated to building the capacity of district and school teams to effectively implement, scale, and sustain evidence-based practices within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This role leverages Implementation Science and a systems-thinking approach to enhance instructional practices, foster educational excellence, and promote equitable outcomes for all students. By partnering with regional and district leaders, the specialist ensures that data-driven continuous improvement becomes deeply embedded in local practice, reducing the need for intensive services through strong core and supplemental instruction.

JOB TITLE: Implementation Specialist

WORK LOCATION: CCRESA Administration Building
WORK SCHEDULE: 190 Days
SALARY SCHEDULE: Depending on Experience
SUMMARY
The Implementation Specialist serves as an Implementation Support Practitioner (ISP) dedicated to
building the capacity of district and school teams to effectively implement, scale, and sustain
evidence-based practices within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This role leverages
Implementation Science and a systems-thinking approach to enhance instructional practices, foster
educational excellence, and promote equitable outcomes for all students. By partnering with regional and
district leaders, the specialist ensures that data-driven continuous improvement becomes deeply
embedded in local practice, reducing the need for intensive services through strong core and
supplemental instruction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cultivating Supportive Environments and Shared Understanding
● Partner with regional, district, and building leaders to clarify priorities, assess readiness, and
establish shared goals for evidence based practices.
● Build trust-based relationships and facilitate inclusive teaming structures that elevate diverse
stakeholder voices and promote a shared vision for high quality MTSS implementation.
● Support leaders in creating enabling conditions such as psychological safety, clear communication,
and routines for reflection and problem-solving.
Data-Informed Decision Making and Continuous Improvement
● Support the development and use of aligned data systems for screening, progress monitoring,
fidelity, outcomes, and reporting across partners.
● Lead continuous improvement cycles and structured problem-solving to strengthen
implementation.
● Promote a culture of inquiry and shared ownership of outcomes, including support for Michigan
International Prep School.

Building Capacity and Sustaining Implementation
● Provide coaching and implementation support through facilitation, modeling, observation,
feedback, and reflection.
● Strengthen district coaching systems and support the development of building-level capacity.
● Guide selection and implementation of evidence-based practices with attention to fit, feasibility,
and equity.
● Design and deliver professional learning and facilitate regional collaboration aligned to data and
identified needs.
● Facilitate regional workgroups or communities of practice aligned to local data and cross-county
needs.
● Collaborate with leaders to strengthen organizational supports and remove barriers to
implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Professional degree in an educational field. Master’s degree in an educational field
preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years of related experience preferred.
Other knowledge, skills and abilities:
This position will require an on-going systemic change orientation that will require the exercise of
adaptive leadership, additional training to train others, study of research, analysis of data,
assistance with goal setting, action planning and program evaluation.

Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with faculty, staff,
and parents as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee will work in a variety of settings such as normal office environment, school environment,
home environment, etc.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Employee is expected to work 5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day during the school year. Occasional
evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TRAVEL:
The employee will be expected to occasionally travel between the 6 local districts and the CCRESA
administrative offices. The employee will be required to travel to training/meeting sites, regional
meetings, and state meetings/events.
