(2) 1. Full Time 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday  and (1) PRN - As Needed. 

Position Highlights:

• Processes and prepares all tissue for interpretation by the pathologist according to established procedures.
• Performs all routine and special staining, immunohistochemical assays and frozen sections in accordance with accepted practices and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has a bachelor’s degree in health science or related field.
• Has 3 years’ previous experience.

Responsibilities:

• Receives and handles specimens.
• Processes specimens using appropriate procedures for tissue processing.
• Prepares microscopic slides.
• Performs routine staining procedures.

Credentials and Qualifications:

• Associates Degree – Histology or Related Sciences
• Will consider completion of NAACLS approved HT Program
• Florida state license as a Histotechnologist required.
• 1 year Histotechnologist experience
• Internship and/or ASCP certification may be included as part of the experience
• Experience can be waived is lieu of ASCP certification
