Job Overview:

AEG is seeking a highly analytical and customer focused Credit Risk and Exposure Manager to oversee credit risk, exposure management, and portfolio performance. This role is responsible for monitoring cash flow impact, evaluating customer credit exposure, managing past due accounts, and driving resolution of disputes. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external customers while maintaining a professional and solutions-oriented approach.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor customer portfolio exposure with a focus on cash reporting and identifying highest to lowest cash impact risks.
  • Review customer credit exposures, particularly accounts near or within credit limits, and proactively manage risk to maintain appropriate thresholds.
  • Evaluate past due accounts and ensure timely follow up to drive collections and resolution.
  • Partner with internal teams and customers to keep disputes progressing toward resolution in a timely manner.
  • Engage directly with customers to communicate account status, provide feedback, and resolve issues in a professional and customer-oriented manner.
  • Lead high level negotiations with customers to resolve disputes while clearly explaining and defending AEG’s position.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with finance, sales, and operations teams to align credit strategies and risk mitigation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and tracking of exposures, disputes, and cash impact.
  • Support leadership with insights and recommendations related to credit risk trends and portfolio performance.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a credit, risk, or financial analyst role or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong experience with process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a professional, customer focused approach.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
