Job Summary:

The Senior Staff Electrical Engineer researches, plans, designs, develops, analyzes, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including displays, sensors, processors, interface units, and other electronic devices; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Perform design activities as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Architect overall design effort.
  • Able to analyze overall systems in depth, including algorithms.
  • Able to lead a development effort involving multiple design elements.
  • Produce reports and analysis.
  • Produce schematics.
  • Design and run validation testing.
  • Participate as a lead in design reviews.
  • Participate as a lead in proposal development.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Education, Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification:

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline (a master’s degree is preferred) with at least 15 years of experience in electrical engineering and electronic design and development
  • Specific Degree Field Required: Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):
  • ESD
  • Safety Training, as dictated by the Safety Department

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to organize the design effort
  • Proficiency with schematic capture tools
  • Proficiency with electrical and analytical analysis packages
  • PLM proficient
