Job Summary:
The Senior Staff Electrical Engineer researches, plans, designs, develops, analyzes, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including displays, sensors, processors, interface units, and other electronic devices; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Perform design activities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Architect overall design effort.
- Able to analyze overall systems in depth, including algorithms.
- Able to lead a development effort involving multiple design elements.
- Produce reports and analysis.
- Produce schematics.
- Design and run validation testing.
- Participate as a lead in design reviews.
- Participate as a lead in proposal development.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education, Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification:
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline (a master’s degree is preferred) with at least 15 years of experience in electrical engineering and electronic design and development
- Specific Degree Field Required: Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):
- ESD
- Safety Training, as dictated by the Safety Department
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to organize the design effort
- Proficiency with schematic capture tools
- Proficiency with electrical and analytical analysis packages
- PLM proficient
