Description


SALES SUPPORT SPECIALIST

(COMMISSION-ELIGIBLE)

1. Order Entry and ERP Administration

  • Accurately enter sales orders submitted by Sales Representatives into the Company’s ERP system.
  • Verify pricing, SKUs, quantities, customer information, and shipping instructions prior to order confirmation.
  • Review customer purchase orders for completeness and accuracy.
  • Update ERP records to reflect order status changes, notes, and payment status.
  • Coordinate with Production, Shipping, and Accounting departments to ensure timely processing.

2. Accounts Receivable and Payment Tracking Support

  • Monitor outstanding invoices and payment status using ERP and accounting systems.
  • Assist with preparation of accounts receivable aging reports.
  • Communicate with customers regarding invoice confirmations, payment status, and discrepancies.
  • Notify Sales Representatives and Accounting of overdue accounts.
  • Document payment-related communications within the ERP system.

3. Customer Support and Call Handling

  • Serve as initial point of contact for inbound customer calls and emails.
  • Provide order status updates and general account information when appropriate.
  • Route technical, sales, accounting, or operational inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document and track customer inquiries to ensure follow-up and resolution.
  • Maintain professional and courteous communication standards at all times.

4. Hybrid Sales Support and Commission Eligibility

  • Support Sales Representatives in maintaining customer relationships and assisting with account follow-up.
  • May assist in generating repeat orders, coordinating quotes, or facilitating account communications.
  • Eligible to earn commission compensation after 90 days of employment pursuant to a separate written Commission Plan in accordance with California Labor Code §2751.
  • Commission eligibility does not alter non-exempt classification. All commission earnings are calculated separately from hourly wages.

5. Administrative and Cross-Department Support

  • Maintain organized electronic and physical sales records.
  • Prepare routine reports regarding sales activity and payment status.
  • Support communication between Sales, Accounting, Production, and Shipping teams.
  • Perform additional clerical or administrative duties as assigned.

6. Overtime and Timekeeping Compliance

As a non-exempt employee, Employee must accurately record all hours worked. Employee is entitled to overtime compensation in accordance with California law, including daily and weekly overtime.
