Job Description

Position: Human Resources Intern (Paid), Temporary

Pay: $20-$25/hour 

Assignment Length: Temporary, 2-3 months. (Can be a summer internship).

Schedule: Flexible, Weekdays only.

Hours: 30-40 hours/week.

Location: Charlotte, NC (South Park Area), In-Person Only.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Handle general administrative duties to keep the HR team running smoothly.
  • Schedule and help manage new employees’ pre-employment process.
  • Complete touch-point calls with new hires to support a great onboarding experience.
  • Scan, organize, and file digital HR records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Respond to general employee questions and route items appropriately within the HR department.
  • Assist the HR department with day-to-day operations and special projects as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Some HR exposure (internship, campus role, admin support, etc.) and/or currently enrolled in an HR or related education program.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail (you enjoy keeping things tidy and on track).
  • Professional communication skills—comfortable speaking with employees and new hires by phone and email.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Comfortable with basic office tools (Microsoft Office/Google Workspace) and learning new systems.
  • HRIS data management skills (entering/updating employee data accurately, running basic reports, maintaining data integrity).
