Job Description
General Assembler
Sealed Air Corporation’s Equipment Automation Center, located in Ayer, Massachusetts is seeking a driven assembly and manufacturing professional with exceptional work ethics to fill our current 1st shift opening (7:30 am - 4:00 pm). The qualified candidates must be able to work from written procedures, blueprints, and verbal instructions under minimal supervision. Our ideal team members must be exhibit mechanical and electrical skills. Electronic experience and skills such as soldering, pc board, etc. are NOT applicable to these positions. Pay: $19.00
Shift: Morning
REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDE, NOT LIMITED TO):
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Assemble sub-assemblies and sub-components
• Read blueprints
• Manage time to meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
• Build from verbal communication when prints are not available
• Use hand tools, crimpers, and ferrules
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Build quality product without specified time frame
• Follow SOPs
Qualifications
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, assembly preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience in mechanical assembly and troubleshooting
• Experience in the proper use of hand tools (i.e. torque wrenches, crimpers, drills)
• Experience, understanding and knowledge of basic hardware (metric and standard)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to communicate with all levels of co-workers to assure continuity in production
• Ability to read, write and speak English required
• Goal oriented and self-motivated with a stable employment history
• Familiar with Lean Six Sigma concepts preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift to 40 lbs.
• Kneel, bend, twist
• Stand for up to 8 hours per day
