As the Electrical Service Apprentice, you will play a critical role in supporting experienced Electrical Service Professionals by assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This role is ideal for individuals starting their electrical career who want hands-on experience, training, and the opportunity to progress toward becoming an electrician.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with residential service calls, including troubleshooting, repairs, and installations
- Support the installation and maintenance of electrical systems such as panels, breakers, outlets, lighting, generators and wiring
- Help diagnose electrical issues and learn proper testing procedures using industry tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all job sites and in company vehicles
- Follow all safety protocols, codes, and company standards to ensure safe work practices
- Communicate professionally with customers while on-site, representing the company in a positive manner
- Assist with material handling, including loading/unloading trucks and ensuring proper inventory of parts and tools
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while learning time management and job workflow expectations
- Participate in ongoing training, ride-alongs, and classroom learning to develop electrical knowledge and skills
- Accurately document work performed, materials used, and job notes as required by the company system
- Support senior technicians in delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance expectations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from ladders, lifts, or confined spaces.
- Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to take direction.
Preferred:
- Enrollment in or desire to join an Electrical training program.
- 1 to 2 years of Electrical experience.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and electrical terminology.
