Job Description

 

$750 Hiring Bonus for new Team Members plus $50 in gas gift cards during our onboarding process.

To ensure Prairie Band Casino and Resort complies with the rules and regulations of the Tribal Gaming Commission and to ensure Prairie Band Casino and Resort’s money, property and assets are protected through surveillance investigations, audits and the constant observation of all casino areas.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

  • Operates a closed circuit television system to monitor gaming, money-handling activity and procedure compliance in all departments
  • Conducts undercover investigations and internal audits with the use of surveillance equipment
  • Gathers evidence and complies with all relevant legal requirements
  • Prepares Activity Reports, Incidents Reports and Surveillance Special Reports as required
  • Provides written and oral court testimony
  • Maintains Surveillance equipment and databases
  • Maintains a proficient knowledge of the following:  Internal Controls, Casino policies and procedures, and specific gaming rules
  • Maintains knowledge of cheating methods and other related activities, as well as known offenders
  • Safeguards all confidential information and maintain department integrity
  • Reports any personal circumstances that may pose a conflict of interest or hamper credibility of the Surveillance department
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies and encourages others to do the same
  • Must project professionalism and a consistent friendly demeanor
  • Performs additional duties as required

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Required

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
  • Complies with Tribal State Gaming Compact rules and approved system of Internal Controls
  • Strong math proficiency and writing skills
  • At least one year experience with Microsoft Office products
  • A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment

 

Preferred

  • Experience in loss prevention
  • Familiarity with camera equipment and methods of operation and recording
  • Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
  • Experience in conducting investigations

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
  • Able to sit or stand for long hours observing numerable Closed Circuit Television screens (8-10 hours)
  • Able to observe and recall specific details of incidents and persons
  • Manual dexterity to operate digital system, monitors, computers, controllers and cameras
  • Excellent vision including peripheral
  • Must be able to differentiate colors of gaming chips
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
  • Be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel and grip items when necessary
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
  • High Attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain focus in a fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task and works well with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to meet the level one or sedentary work requirements based on the Department of Labor Dictionary of Titles:  Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
