A well-established and growing mechanical services company is seeking a proven operational leader to serve as General Manager of Commercial Plumbing Operations for its Vero Beach to Stuart Market.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands service operations, team leadership, and financial performance. The General Manager will oversee daily operations while driving both revenue growth and operational efficiency across a diverse service mix.
The business currently operates with approximately 60% commercial service, 30% residential service, and 10% new construction, creating a stable and diversified revenue base. This leader will play a key role in optimizing operations, supporting ServiceTitan integration, and expanding cross-selling opportunities between Plumbing and HVAC service lines.
The General Manager will oversee all operational and financial aspects of the Plumbing division while building a high-performing team and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead day-to-day operations including service technicians, dispatch, customer service, and administrative teams
Drive top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability
Oversee P&L performance, labor productivity, job costing, and operational KPIs
Support the integration and optimization of ServiceTitan and other operational technologies
Establish systems and processes that improve field productivity and customer satisfaction
Develop and mentor field supervisors, service managers, and technicians
Strengthen relationships with commercial clients, property managers, and facility operators
Identify opportunities to cross-sell Plumbing and HVAC services
Support sales and service agreement growth initiatives
Maintain high standards for safety, service quality, and operational excellence
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be an experienced operations leader with a strong background in plumbing or mechanical service businesses.
Qualifications include:
Proven leadership experience managing plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical service operations
Strong experience leading technicians, dispatch teams, and service managers
Demonstrated success managing P&L performance and operational KPIs
Experience implementing or optimizing ServiceTitan or similar field service platforms
Ability to drive revenue growth while maintaining strong margins
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced service environment
Experience working with commercial service clients preferred
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with both Plumbing and HVAC service lines
Background working within multi-location Service Business
Track record of scaling service teams and improving operational systems
