Bioprocessing Sales Specialist will be responsible in technical selling of PAT analytics instrument for upstream and downstream applications, processing solutions that address critical steps in the production of biologic drugs – principally in the Protein, mRNA and Cell & Gene Therapy segments - to new and existing Biopharmaceutical customers across China.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell a portfolio of downstream, upstream, and single use engineered systems & software solutions; predominantly Process Analytics Technology (PAT) and be able to effectively articulate the Repligen value proposition
- Develop and execute a regional management plan in close collaboration with China GM and the Global BSS Leader
- Develop customized and modular engineered solutions for customers in upstream and downstream PAT solution
- Review and support customer URS preparation and prepare proposals based on customer requirements
- Conduct sales negotiations with technical and procurement departments
- Drive sales process through the territory account managers to meet or exceed sales and profitability targets
- Establish and maintain Strategic Key Account relationships
- Develop new targets accounts across the territory in conjunction with the territory account managers
- Develop and support customers as they move through the clinical pipeline from lab-scale to full process scale solutions
- Provide accurate and timely sales reporting and forecasting leveraging Salesforce.com
- Maintain contact with key bioprocessing infrastructure partners and identify new sales and business opportunities
- Interface with Business and Market Development to ensure that appropriate product, market and competitive information is shared in an accurate and timely manner
- Support the development of sales collateral
- Execute all aspects of field sales activity to include customer visits, technical presentations, quote preparation and negotiation
- Attend, manage and follow up on trade show and marketing activities
- Involve or lead projects and assignments as part of the professional development opportunity.
Qualifications:
Education, Training & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific (biology/biochemistry) or engineering (electrical & electronics) field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with primary responsibility in technical selling.
- Proven successful track record and key account management experience.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability
- Deep knowledge of scientific/analytical instrument systems is required.
- A strong understanding of bioprocess analytics instrument and/or bioprocess sensor is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in understanding engineering documentation and drawings is essential
- Proven ability to build mutually beneficial, personable, trusting relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
