This position provides support to the Office of Stewardship team and University Advancement division. Our mission is to engage parents, alumni and friends, inspire philanthropic support and promote the transformative mission of Belmont University. Stewardship involves managing gifts as donors intended, showing appreciation to donors for their gifts, and demonstrating the joyful impact of their philanthropy.

The Office of Stewardship student worker can expect to engage in the following tasks:

Assist with writing and editing event materials, stewardship communications, donor acknowledgement notes and honorarium and memorial letters.

Support researching and auditing the accuracy of data related to donor contact information, donor intent and donor gift processing.

Collaborate with team on designing and implementing impactful print and digital communications for donors like reports and videos.

Provide event support for small, medium and large-scale donor events, including managing RSVP lists, creating nametags, gathering program details and brainstorming speaker scripts. Event follow-up is an important part of our work and includes sending surveys, photos and thank you notes. Events served include Christmas at Belmont, Sounds of Belmont, Donor Tribute Dinner, Tennessee Health Care Hall of Fame and donor receptions.

Occasional lifting is required, but it is always a team effort.

Occasionally, donor events are held during evenings or on the weekends, and student workers are asked if they are available to offer their support.

This position works flexible hours, Monday-Friday from 8 AM-4:30 PM. It is suggested student workers commit to at least 10 hours per week. They will work with their supervisor to create their work schedule.
