Description

The Service Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the overall quality, safety, and readiness of the homes within our portfolio. This position is responsible for addressing day-to-day maintenance and service requests, preparing new properties for onboardings, performing routine preventative maintenance, and coordinating with vendors when specialized services are needed.


By working closely with the Operations Team, the Service Technician helps ensure that all maintenance activities are executed efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with company standards. The ultimate goal of this role is to drive operational excellence, protect asset value, and contribute to a seamless and high-quality experience for our guests.

Daily and Weekly Tasks

  • Task Management (Asana Boards)
  • Review and prioritize new and existing tasks based on urgency and due dates.
  • Create and maintain a clear daily schedule to ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor and organize task flow to align with weekly objectives.
  • Supply Guest Services with all information to respond accurately and quickly.
  • Respond promptly to all incoming guest messages as needed.
  • Review and manage maintenance tasks assigned through Breezeway.
  • Ensure all guest-related issues are addressed with urgency and professionalism.

Email Monitoring (Service Inbox)

  • Check the service email inbox daily.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries and coordinate follow-up as needed.
  • Flag and escalate urgent maintenance issues appropriately.

Package Management and Warehouse Organization

  • Conduct daily checks at the warehouse for package deliveries.
  • Label all packages clearly by property name.
  • Organize packages in designated areas to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.

Saturday Preparation

  • On Fridays, update and organize the service board with Saturday priorities.
  • Identify and plan repairs for any reported damage.
  • Order and coordinate pickup of required materials or tools for Saturday work.

Seasonal and Preventative Maintenance (Winter Maintenance)

  • Maintain and Execute on a schedule for annual preventative maintenance across all properties.
  • Perform seasonal upkeep, including paint touch-ups and minor repairs, to preserve home quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of property management, hospitality, or facilities experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work weekends and on-call shifts

Skills

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving ability
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
