About the Role
Hi-Hope Service Center is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Day Services Program. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities in both community-based and facility settings. You’ll help individuals achieve greater independence, provide personal care assistance, and encourage meaningful participation in daily activities.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and support individuals based on their Individual Service Plans (ISP)
- Provide training and assistance with daily living skills: hygiene, grooming, meal prep, toileting, etc.
- Facilitate and participate in community outings and activities
- Assist with communication using tools and devices tailored to individual needs
- Monitor food intake and medication in line with medical directives
- Provide safe transportation using company or personal vehicles
- Document activities, behaviors, and progress clearly and timely
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, and report safety concerns
- Respond to emergency situations using appropriate protocols

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting preferred
- Must be 21 years or older
- Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation and valid Georgia Driver’s License
- CPR/First Aid, De-escalation Techniques, and Vehicle Evacuation Training (within 90 days of hire)
- Negative drug and TB screenings
- Clear criminal background and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Must successfully complete the Test of Functional Health Literacy in Adults (TOFHLA)

Work Environment
This position involves working both indoors and outdoors, assisting with outings, personal care, and possibly transporting individuals in a van or car. You must be physically capable of lifting and standing throughout the day.

Every Saturday and Sunday- 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Monday thru Friday- 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
