Additional Locations: Arnold, MO | Vienna, VA | St. Louis, MO (Esri) – as needed
Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility (or current within 2 years)
Travel: Occasional onsite support at partner locations

Geocgi is seeking Geospatial Engineers (Junior, Mid, and Senior levels) to support mission driven work in secure environments for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and key partners, including Esri. This role focuses on applying geospatial technologies to support analysis, data management, and application workflows that power real-world intelligence and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in ArcGIS, spatial analysis, and data management, along with the ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and stakeholders.

The primary onsite location will be either the NGA office at 2301 Cass Ave, St. Louis, Missouri or the NGA office at 7500 GEOINT Drive, Springfield, Virginia.

Junior: 1–5 years of experience with GIS analysis and data management. 

Mid-Level: 3–10+ years of experience developing GIS workflows and supporting enterprise environments.

Senior: 5–10+ years of experience leading geospatial solutions, data architecture, or analytical efforts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain geospatial datasets, maps, and analytical products.
  • Perform spatial analysis and geoprocessing to support mission requirements.
  • Design and support GIS workflows and data pipelines.
  • Work with ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise, and Online environments.
  • Support integration of GIS into applications and operational processes.
  • Manage and query relational databases supporting geospatial data.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Document workflows, processes, and technical solutions.
  • Support ongoing improvements to geospatial tools and systems.

The following are requirements of the Geospatial Engineer:

  • U.S. Citizen with Active Top Secret Clearance (SCI eligible) or current within the last 2 years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Junior: 1–5 years of experience ($70,000-$95,000)
  • Mid-Level: 3–10+ years of experience ($90,000-$120,000)
  • Senior: 5–10+ years of experience ($110,000-$135,000)
  • Proficiency with Esri products (ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise, and Online).
  • Experience with spatial analysis, GIS workflows, and data management.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with Windows environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
     

The following are preferred of the Geospatial Engineer:

  • Experience supporting federal or defense programs.
  • Familiarity with classified or secure environments.
  • Experience integrating GIS into applications or enterprise systems.
  • Exposure to scripting or automation (Python, SQL).
  • Understanding of geospatial data standards and best practices.


The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $70,000 $135,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
