Job Title: Network and Security Engineer

Location- Paris, France

Hybrid mode- 3 days week (Work from client location)

Overview:

The Network and Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient network infrastructures. The role includes technical expertise in network architecture, security protocols, incident management, and process optimization. The position requires strong analytical skills, experience with modern network and security technologies, and the ability to work in Agile environments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network and security infrastructures (LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs, etc.)
  • Monitor and respond to network and security alerts, ensuring high availability and resilience
  • Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with security standards
  • Provide Level 3 technical support and manage complex incidents
  • Support project teams with network and security expertise for new initiatives
  • Automate routine network and security tasks using scripting and orchestration tools
  • Document network architectures, processes, and interventions
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network and security solutions into business projects
  • Participate in Agile (Scrum) processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Liaise with vendors and external partners as needed

 

Mandatory skills:

  • Expertise in network infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC)
  • Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.)
  • Incident management and troubleshooting skills
  • Process documentation and optimization

Appreciated skills:

  • Experience with cloud networking and security (AWS, Azure, etc.)
