Job Description

Reports to: Executive Director of Technology


 


Purpose:  This position will work in conjunction with the Rowan Salisbury School System’s technology department.


 


Qualifications


 



  • Graduate from a two-­-year college or technical school with coursework in electronics and Computers and (1-­-3 years) experience; or high school diploma or equivalency and an equivalent combination of training and experience

  • The following certifications are desired but not mandatory: A+, Net+, Security+, ACMT; iOS Certified, CCNA, MCSE

  • Applicants will be asked to complete a skills test as part of the interview process.  The skills test is used to assess each applicant’s proficiency with Hardware / Software.

Knowledge of:



  • MDM Solutions(s)

  • Mac OS-­-iOS Devices – Windows OS

  • MS Office

  • Software Applications

  • LAN/WAN

  • Imaging Solutions (Mac and PC)

  • Network Printers

  • Wireless AP’s

  • Scripting


 


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


 



  • Configures, repairs, maintains and upgrades technology-­-related equipment, including but not limited to Apple IOS and OSX devices, Windows, imaging and mobile device management software.

  • Communicates with employees and management in a timely and professional manner.

  • Provides support to users by phone and email using remote support tools.

  • Excellent problem solving, multi-­-tasking, troubleshooting skills and attention to details are required to work within the department and school environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.

  • Uses a web-­-based work-­-order tracking system for routine repair and maintenance of equipment.

  • Assists in researching new technology and provide input on new standards.

  • Attends classes and seminars to enhance knowledge of equipment and operating systems.


 


Term of Employment: 12 months in accordance with the Rowan-­-Salisbury School Board calendar
