What We Are Looking For

The Business Development Director helps support SAC Health's business strategy and growth initiatives, identifying community healthcare needs and opportunities for service expansion. Reporting to the Chief Officer of Business Strategy and Development, this role supports strategic planning and business development initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The position  drives initiatives that enhance patient access, strengthen partnerships, and advance SAC Health's mission and long-term vision.

Schedule: 5 days week, 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | Location: Brier Clinic, San Bernardino, CA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES

  • Leverages community relationships to support strategic planning and business initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and successful implementation of growth initiatives. 
  • Identifies, evaluates, and recommends new programs, services, and partnerships to address community healthcare needs, strategic priorities, and financial feasibility.
  • Performs planning, tracking, and reporting functions to ensuring measurable outcomes and continuous improvement of business development initiatives. 
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Strategy, Marketing, and Physician Relations, to achieve strategic objectives. 
  • Conducts market analyses and strategic assessments to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends in healthcare services and partnerships. 
  • May participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and oversight to ensure initiatives are financially sustainable and aligned with organizational priorities. 
  • Leads feasibility studies, negotiation, and execution of strategic partnerships, agreements, and joint initiatives to drive growth and impact.
  • Prepares and delivers executive-level presentations and reports on strategic initiatives, outcomes, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting/Finance, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: NA
  • Experience: Seven years' business development experience. Five years' leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Advanced knowledge of developing creative financial solutions and make projections using present and future values, loan computations, and annuity calculations. Diverse and thorough knowledge of healthcare trends, industry direction, regulatory compliance, competitive intelligence, and market research with the ability to integrate the information into actionable strategic and long-range plans.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills are vital for effective communication and collaboration with healthcare professionals, administrators, and technical teams. The ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders is crucial for understanding their needs and aligning SAC Health initiatives. Additionally, adeptness in conflict resolution and negotiation ensures smooth coordination between various departments and promotes a cohesive work environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Essential Mental Abilities: Advanced knowledge of methods and techniques for strategic planning, business and product development, risk management and financing, marketing strategies and tactics, and communications planning within an integrated and matrixed environment.
  • Work Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Must not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visas.
