Pacific Northern Environmental LLC (PNE LLC) is seeking a Safety Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company, clients, and employees.
Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of five divisions including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (Taurus), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we carry out projects across the United States.

The Safety Administrator is responsible for supporting the company’s health and safety programs by managing compliance documentation, employee certifications, and training requirements. This role is responsible for coordinating drug testing employee compliance processes, administering safety platforms, and providing administrative support to the Health & Safety team roles. This position requires high levels of attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, Associate’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Business Administration, or related field highly preferred
- Valid US Driver’s license and the ability to be insured under the company’s insurance plan are required.
- 4 years’ experience in an Administrative or safety-related role.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Work, Teams). Experience with safety management platforms (e.g. ISNetworld, Flex Quiz, or similar) is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Embraces change and remain sound in periodically chaotic environment.
- Demonstrated success in balancing competing priorities, ensuring timely and precise completion of all responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following:
- Track and maintain employee safety certifications, licenses, and training records, ensuring timely renewals and compliance.
- Assign, schedule, and monitor completion of required safety training for new and current employees.
- Create, update, and maintain training matrixes, rosters, and safety files in both digital and physical formats.
- Communicate with managers/dispatch to ensure employees are properly trained and meet site-specific safety requirements.
- Manage onboarding safety compliances, including assignment of training modules and coordination of pre-employment physicals.
- Coordinate employee drug testing that includes randoms, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion.
- Track, schedule, and follow up on required employee physicals to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and distribute communications professionally related to training deadlines, compliance reminders, etc.
- Administer third-party safety compliance platforms (e.g. ISNetworld, Flex Quiz, etc.) ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Health & Safety and safety team, including scheduling, documentation, and report preparation.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical records of incident reports, inspections, audits, and safety meeting minutes.
- Coordinate logistics for safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions, including attendance tracking and follow-up documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of safety processes by identifying administrative gaps and recommending enhancements.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:
- Move about the jobsite/office as needed.
- Move work related equipment up to 10lbs.
- Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
- Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
- Occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
- Must be able to effectively and accurately communicate in person, over the phone, and through electronic means.
- Ability to travel between company locations, project sites, and training facilities as needed (less than 5%, very infrequent)
