Job Description

River Crest Country Club is actively hiring Head Lifeguards for the summer season.



Located five miles from downtown Fort Worth, River Crest is Fort Worth’s oldest and most storied country club.



The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00 per hour based on verifiable experience.



JOB SUMMARY:



The Head Lifeguard is responsible for maintenance and sanitation of pool and area as well as for the day to day operations of pool activities to include lap swimming, open swim, swim team, lessons, and holiday activities.  In addition, the Head Lifeguard may be required to complete other tasks as assigned by Aquatics Director.



QUALIFICATIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:




  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor required

  • Certified Pool Operator preferred

  • Water Safety Instructor or equivalent preferred

  • Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks.

  • Must be able to tolerate frequent interruptions. 

  • Must have timely, reliable attendance.

  • Must have a professional, courteous & respectful attitude toward members, guests, vendors, co-workers and supervisors.



RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS:




  • Maintain water chemistry and record keeping to satisfy health department requirements

  • Certification and in-service of lifeguard staff

  • Safety and supervision of lifeguard staff, members, and guests

  • Provide oversite for a vibrant lesson program, swim/dive team, and special event programming



PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:




  • Must be able to stoop, bend, climb ladders, and be able to lift 50 lbs of weight

  • Must be able to tolerate a variety of weather conditions to include heat and cold

  • Be able to work in direct sunlight and be responsible to protect themselves with coverage and/or sunscreen
