About the Employer

We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees.

Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. Antioch is known as the “Gateway to the Delta” and is one of California’s oldest cities, with a diverse community of approximately 100,000.

The Antioch Unified School District is a Merit System District. As such, final selection of our classified staff members will be made from candidates who have been placed on an eligibility list. Eligibility is determined via an evaluation and competitive screening/scoring of a candidate’s training and experience as demonstrated on the application and responses provided in the supplemental questions.

Job Summary

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Equivalent to the completion of an earned Master’s Degree or higher degree from an accredited college or university in educational administration, instructional technology, curriculum development, special education, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of five years of highly successful School/District Administrative experience within a Program Improvement District.
• Strong management and team-building skills, and financial acumen.
• Excellent writing and public speaking skills, complemented by a demonstrated ability to effectively interact with students, staff, site leaders, and community in a variety of environments.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid California Teaching Credential (or related services credential)
• Valid Administrative Services Credential
• Valid California driver's license
• Valid CLAD Certification
