Your Mission
You will be part of the Accounting team supporting our headquarters, Trench Group GmbH, with a well‑balanced mix of projects, process optimization, and operational accounting tasks. In this role, you’ll work in a strong, collaborative team, make a real impact on how we run our financial processes, and gain valuable exposure to other finance areas such as Controlling, Treasury, and Tax.

Your Tasks:

  • You will drive core accounting processes: You will take full ownership of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Asset Accounting as well as integral parts of monthly and yearly closing. You will ensure clean, accurate, and timely financial records that our global operations rely on.
  • You will optimize and automate: You will identify process bottlenecks, introduce smarter workflows, and champion automation solutions that raise efficiency across the entire accounting function.
  • You will secure financial integrity: You will perform detailed account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and make sure our financial data is precise, reliable, and audit‑ready.
  • You will create insights, not just reports: You will prepare meaningful financial reports and performance analyses, enabling management to make smart, strategic decisions based on clear, well‑structured data.
  • You will own travel management: You will manage the full travel management process — ensuring policy compliance, working with external providers, and creating smooth, cost‑effective travel experiences for our employees.
  • You will collaborate across functions: You will work closely with Treasury, Controlling, and Tax, and you will contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual group closings in accordance with HGB and IFRS.

Requirements:

  • You think analytically and act decisively: You can break down complex financial data, spot patterns, and transform insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • You care about accuracy: Your work is structured, detail‑oriented, and reliable — you keep processes clean, numbers precise, and deadlines on track.
  • You communicate with clarity and confidence: You can explain financial matters clearly, collaborate effectively across teams, and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • You improve what others accept: You constantly look for smarter processes, automation opportunities, and ways to raise the quality and efficiency of the accounting function.
  • You thrive in a team environment: You bring adaptability, initiative, and a positive, collaborative mindset in a dynamic workplace.
