PROFILE OF A LIBERTY HILL EDUCATOR
Liberty Hill ISD Educators are compassionate leaders, effective collaborators, adaptable thinkers,
determined problem-solvers, and skilled communicators.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide leadership, coordination, and support for the district’s K-12 advanced academic programs, including
Gifted and Talented (GT), advanced coursework, and college readiness initiatives. Ensure aligned, rigorous,
and equitable access for all students while supporting the development of academic pathways that promote
college, career, and military readiness, including oversight of AVID implementation.

Provide leadership, coordination, and support for the district’s K-12 advanced academic programs, including
Gifted and Talented (GT), advanced coursework, and college readiness initiatives. Ensure aligned, rigorous,

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification
● Valid Texas teaching certificate
● Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
Experience
● Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience
● Experience working with advanced learners or advanced academic programs
● Experience in instructional leadership or program coordination

● Knowledge of advanced academic programming, including Gifted and Talented (GT),
Advanced Placement (AP), dual credit, and other college readiness pathways, with an
understanding of how these programs contribute to CCMR outcomes
● Understanding of college, career, and military readiness (CCMR) indicators and accountability
measures in Texas
● Ability to analyze and apply student performance and participation data, including advanced
coursework and college readiness indicators, to monitor program effectiveness and drive
improvement
● Knowledge of PEIMS elements related to advanced academic programs and ability to
support data accuracy and reporting requirements
● Knowledge of AVID or similar college readiness frameworks preferred
● Ability to design, implement, and support systems that ensure equitable access to advanced
academic and college readiness opportunities
● Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments, including Teaching and
Learning, Counseling, and CTE
● Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data to support program implementation and
compliance
● Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Program Leadership and Implementation
● Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the district’s advanced
academic programs, including Gifted and Talented (GT), advanced coursework, college
readiness initiatives, and AVID
● Ensure alignment and consistency of advanced academic and college readiness
programming across campuses and grade levels in collaboration with campus and district
leaders
● Develop and maintain a K-12 continuum of advanced academic and college readiness
pathways that support student growth and postsecondary readiness
● Monitor program effectiveness, including participation and performance in advanced
coursework and college readiness indicators, and make recommendations for improvement
● Support campuses in increasing student access to and success in advanced academic
opportunities, including AP, dual credit, and other college readiness experiences
● Collaborate with campus and district leaders to align advanced academics and college
readiness efforts with district CCMR goals and accountability measures
● Coordinate and manage elementary and middle school science fairs, including planning
timelines, communication, logistics, and event execution

College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR)
● Support and monitor progress toward the district’s CCMR goals by coordinating academic
readiness initiatives aligned to state accountability indicators
● Monitor and analyze student progress toward college readiness benchmarks, including
performance on AP, dual credit, TSIA, SAT, ACT, and other approved indicators
● Collaborate with campus leaders, counselors, and instructional staff to increase student
access to and success in college readiness pathways
● Support the implementation and continuous improvement of AVID to strengthen college
readiness systems and student outcomes
● Assist in developing systems and supports that promote postsecondary planning,
awareness, and readiness for all students
● Use data to identify gaps in participation and performance and support targeted strategies
to improve CCMR outcomes across student groups
● Collaborate with the CTE Coordinator and other district staff to ensure alignment between
academic and career readiness pathways
Gifted and Talented (GT) Program Oversight
● Oversee district compliance with all state laws, policies, and requirements related to
Gifted and Talented (GT) education
● Ensure consistent identification, services, and program compliance across campuses
● Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight for the implementation and continuous
improvement of the district’s GT program
● Stay current on research, trends, and best practices in advanced academics through
ongoing professional learning and conference participation
● Facilitate ongoing collaboration with GT teachers to support high-quality instruction,
program fidelity, and student outcomes
● Lead the development, alignment, and evaluation of GT curriculum and instructional
resources
● Coordinate and facilitate a GT Parent Advisory Committee, meeting at least twice
annually to gather feedback and strengthen stakeholder engagement
● Plan and organize the delivery of GT professional learning opportunities, including
summer and fall training sessions
● Monitor, track, and maintain accurate records of GT training and compliance hours in
accordance with state requirements
● Support the design and development of professional learning modules and resources
for GT educators
● Analyze program data and feedback to inform decision-making and ensure continuous
improvement of GT services

Advanced Coursework and Instructional Support
● Support the development and implementation of advanced coursework, including honors,
Advanced Placement (AP), and dual credit, in collaboration with campus administrators,
counselors, and teachers
● Promote equitable access to advanced academic opportunities and monitor participation
and performance trends across student groups
● Provide training and ongoing support to teachers and administrators on strategies that
promote rigor and meet the needs of advanced learners
● Collaborate with curriculum staff to ensure alignment between advanced academic
programming and district curriculum
Data, Compliance, and Program Support
● Monitor and ensure accuracy of PEIMS data related to advanced academic programs,
including GT and advanced coursework participation
● Maintain required documentation and reports and ensure compliance with federal, state,
and local requirements
● Use data to support campus and district decision-making and continuous program
improvement
● Communicate program expectations and updates to staff and families and support
engagement in advanced academic opportunities
