In this role, you’ll oversee used vehicle inventory, reconditioning processes, and operational coordination to ensure our vehicles are market‑ready, compliant, and presented to brand standards across all 8 Time Auto dealerships.

This is a Hybrid position.

Compensation: Commission

What You Will Do:

The Used Car Buyer oversees inventory readiness, reconditioning workflows, and internal coordination. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and acquire quality used vehicles through various channels, including private party, auctions, service appointments, and customer database.
  • Oversee the reconditioning process for purchased vehicles.
  • Review and approve or deny requested work on Used Vehicle Inspection (UVI) reports.
  • Conduct thorough VIN inspections and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Verify accuracy of online vehicle listings, features, and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate physical inventory and assist with flooring audits as needed.
  • Code and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
  • Purchase and pick up parts as needed.
  • Coordinate vehicle and parts transport with dealers and vendors.
  • Travel to dealerships and auctions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year Used Car Buyer experience required.
  • Familiarity with VAuto, CARFAX, KBB, Stockwave, QuickVin, and other appraisal tools highly preferred.
  • Valid Auction Access Membership Preferred (we can assist with providing if necessary).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles preferred.
  • Well rounded vehicle knowledge & a nose for value.
  • Self-starter mentality and ambitious spirit.
  • Ready to waste no time on learning new product ins and outs, eager to improve.
  • Phenomenal communication skills with customers and team members.
  • Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
