Position Summary

The Director, Treasury Management & Business Support provides enterprise leadership over the bank's treasury management and business support strategy. This role is responsible for aligning sales, operations, treasury, and support functions to deliver a unified, highvalue client experience for the bank's business customers.

This position will lead a business support team, and shared responsibility of Commercial Analysis customer growth and profitability with the Chief Retail Officer. The role balances revenue growth, funding strategy, operational excellence, and regulatory discipline while serving as a senior partner to executive leadership, Commercial Banking, Operations, and Technology.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and lead a centralized Treasury Management and Business Support function, acting as the single point of accountability and primary contact for complex business customers.
  • Team duties will also include but not limited to providing end-to-end business support, including onboarding, sales enablement, ongoing support, portfolio review, and participation in product strategy.
  • Partner with commercial lenders, branch managers and business development officers in a sales‑engineering capacity, participating directly in customer discussions and solution design.
  • Own oversight and delivery of business services including, but not limited to:
    • ACH Origination
    • Wire Transfer Services
    • Commercial Account Analysis
    • Escrow Services
    • Landlord and Rental Account Services
    • Merchant Capture and Merchant Services
    • Cash Management Ordering and Shipments
    • Positive Pay and Fraud Mitigation Services
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of Commercial Analysis customers, with accountability for retention, expansion, and profitability.
  • Develop and execute strategies to farm the existing commercial customer base, identifying opportunities to convert customers into analysis relationships.
  • Ensure Commercial Analysis portfolios maintain targeted levels of earnings credits and/or low‑cost, non‑interest‑bearing deposit balances.
  • Oversee new business account openings, ensuring business needs are fully understood and documentation is prepared accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure agreements and paperwork are pre‑filled, packaged, and delivered via e‑signature to significantly improve speed to execution.
  • Drive the use of analytics, reporting, and performance insights to support decision‑making related to growth, pricing, service models, and funding strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidance, internal policies, risk standards, and audit expectations related to treasury and commercial business support.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong executivelevel leadership skills with the ability to align sales and operations around shared objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of treasury management, cash management, payments, and commercial banking services.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale specialized teams supporting complex business clients.
  • Proven capability to partner with sales teams in a consultative, solutionoriented role.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial, usage, and profitability data to drive growth.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage senior business owners and executives.
  • High degree of operational discipline and understanding of regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to simplify complex service offerings into clear, clientfriendly solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both internally with leadership and externally with customers.
  • Strong judgment, accountability, and decisionmaking skills in highimpact situations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in treasury management, commercial banking, cash management, or payments within a financial institution.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and complex client relationships.
  • Proven experience supporting commercial banking sales efforts and growth initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of Commercial Account Analysis, earnings credits, and deposit funding strategies.
  • Experience operating in a regulated banking environment with exposure to auditors and examiners.
  • Background in crossfunctional leadership spanning Operations, Sales, Risk, Compliance, and Technology.
