Description

Position Title: Cyber Technician (Server Administrator)

Location: Fort Knox, KY

Clearance Type: SECRET

Compensation: $95K-$102K

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Respond to AESMP/ITSM trouble tickets and service requests related to server administration, desktop/laptop support, and cybersecurity issues.
  • Perform system updates, software installations, STIG compliance, and vulnerability patching on Windows systems and servers.
  • Provide touch labor and remote support for end-user devices (desktops, laptops, printers, storage devices) across NIPR/SIPR networks.
  • Track, assign, and resolve ITSM work orders; document all materials, time, and system changes within ticketing tools.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving cyber-related incidents and coordinate with network and application teams as needed.
  • Review, draft, and update SOPs, Technical Training Plans (TTPs), and RMF artifacts for submission to the Government for approval.
  • Establish repeatable technical procedures to resolve recurring issues and improve security compliance posture.
  • Provide guidance to NEC staff, IMOs, and end-users regarding cybersecurity policies and best practices.
  • Support system design, planning, and installation for new or existing systems while ensuring proper documentation.
  • Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems or mitigate cyber vulnerabilities.
  • Prepare daily or weekly progress reports and update ITSM records accordingly.

Qualifications


Qualifications:



Education and Certifications:




  • High school diploma required.

  • IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)



Knowledge and Experience:




  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, or network security support

  • Proficiency with DoD STIGs, RMF artifacts, and AESMP/ITSM ticketing systems

  • Knowledge of NIPR/SIPR systems, remote support tools, and endpoint protection solutions

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

  • Windows client and server administration experience



Desired Qualifications:




  • Experience supporting NECs or Army network environments

  • Familiarity with ICAN systems, DoD vulnerability management tools (e.g., ACAS, HBSS), and compliance scanning

  • Exposure to virtualized environments, Group Policy, and patch deployment tools

  • Understanding of enterprise Active Directory structure and permissions management
