Part-Time Custodian (Evening Shift)

Position Duties

• trash and recycling removal throughout the facility

• dusting equipment, furniture, and ledges

• cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, aerobic rooms, gymnasiums, indoor track, community wing, aquatics areas, and offices

• sweeping, vacuuming, and shampooing rugs and floors as needed

• assisting with event set-up including tables and chairs

• performing routine custodial and maintenance duties on a daily basis

• reporting facility concerns or maintenance needs

• completing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• knowledge of and ability to operate cleaning equipment (such as vacuums and standard custodial tools)

• ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed (schedules are flexible)

• ability to walk, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

• must be able to lift at least 10 pounds

• strong communication and reliability

• must maintain a tobacco-free status beginning on the first day of employment

Other Qualifications

SCHEDULE: evening shift (7:00 pm - 12:30 am), 10-30 hours per week; flexible scheduling

PAY: hourly rate of $11.00 - $15.00 based on experience

BENEFITS: free membership to The Natatorium during employment

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be a non-smoker and non-tobacco/nicotine user, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, snuff, patches, etc., and refrain from using all tobacco/nicotine products for the duration of employment with the City.
