Job Description

Position Title: Software Developer

Position Overview:

S2Technologies is seeking a candidate to support the U.S. Coast Guard's Environmental Management Online Data System (EMODS) over the next five years. The role involves developing new modules and enhancing existing ones to help maintain clean and safe waterways.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop new code for new modules
  • Enhance existing code to improve UI for existing system
  • Develop secure code
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Support end user testing
  • Support requirements gathering
  • Develop reports for user analysis

Required Qualification:


  • Previous experience developing federal user systems
  • Previous experience supporting end user testing
  • Previous experience developing user friendly, scalable and resilient systems
  • Experience with developing requirements and diagrams and other development artifacts
  • S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:


  • Previous experience with USCG or EPA
  • Previous experience with environmental monitoring systems or tools such as EMODS
  • Experience with cloud computing
  • Experience with debugging and upgrading existing code
  • Experience with Atlassian tools
  • Security + or similar secure coding knowledge

Education:


  • Bachelors Preferred


Salary Range:

$70,000 - $150,000
