    Position Title: Assistant Principal / Athletic Director
    Location: Towns County High School

    Towns County High School is seeking a qualified and student-focused leader to serve as Assistant Principal / Athletic Director. This position supports the principal in the daily administration and operation of the school while overseeing the athletic program.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Educational Leadership (or willingness to obtain)
    • Valid Georgia Leadership Certification
    • Minimum of 5 years successful experience in education

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Assist with daily school operations, supervision, and decision-making
    • Support student discipline, attendance, and school safety procedures
    • Assist in supervising instructional programs and evaluating personnel
    • Coordinate RTI/SST processes and student support services
    • Oversee student scheduling and assist with academic program management
    • Collaborate with faculty, staff, parents, and the community
    • Serve as principal in the absence of the principal
    • Oversee all athletic programs, coaching staff, and event operations
    • Ensure compliance with Georgia High School Association and district policies
    • Manage athletic schedules, budgets, and student eligibility

    Additional Duties:
    Evening/weekend events required. Other duties as assigned.
