Company Overview
Metrea delivers effects-as-a-service to national security partners across five domains and more than a dozen mission areas—including airborne ISR, electronic warfare, secure communications, aerial refueling, special mission aviation, aerial firefighting, and advanced simulation.
Wherever we operate, we build vertically integrated full stacks of capability—designing, building, and operating turnkey solutions that let customers scale capacity while benefiting from continuous cycles of innovation. With operators and engineers under one roof, we close the gap between lab and field—what we call connecting design with effect.
Metrea’s solutions are built for elegance: effective, efficient, and evolving. This approach enables our partners to do more with less and achieve outsized, asymmetric advantage against rapidly evolving threats.
Headquartered in Washington, DC, Metrea has facilities across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond.
This role sits within the Electromagnetic and Cyber Group (EM&C) at Metrea. Electromagnetic and Cyber Group (EM&C) is responsible for developing flexible and survivable advanced electronic warfare and secure communications equipment while providing the industry’s leading signals intelligence, electronic warfare, and cyber experts. Metrea specializes in signal classification, direction finding, advanced geolocation techniques, and waveform development including waveforms for MANET and LPI/LPD applications. Metrea also develops special purpose radios for government customers and licenses DF and geolocation solutions to multiple OEMs.
Position Summary
We are seeking a GEOINT & Full Motion Video (FMV) Analyst to support intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations by combining hands-on FMV Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) with enterprise geospatial production.
In this role, the analyst will exploit Full Motion Video and associated sensor data to generate time-sensitive, decision-ready intelligence, while also translating those observations into geospatial products and applications that support operational planning, dynamic targeting, force protection, and mission assurance.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with video and metadata, understands PED tradecraft, and can operationalize insights through ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and web-based geospatial tools for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You’ll bring
- Demonstrated experience performing FMV exploitation in operational, analytical, investigative, or ISR environments.
- Experience fusing video, imagery, and geospatial data into coherent analytical assessments.
- Familiarity with defense or security mission workflows and time-sensitive reporting.
- Ability to operate effectively under compressed timelines while maintaining analytical rigor and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in defense, Intelligence Community, law enforcement, or related operational environments is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma/GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (intelligence, GIS, criminal justice, international relations, or related), or equivalent operational experience.
- Solid understanding of Full Motion Video PED workflows, including exploitation, reporting, and collections support.
- Knowledge of GEOINT fundamentals, including spatial reasoning, corroboration, confidence assessment, and source evaluation.
- Experience working with FMV metadata and understanding its role in geospatial accuracy and analytical confidence.
- Ability to assess uncertainty, document assumptions, and communicate confidence levels in analytical findings.
- FMV exploitation and viewing systems (mission-specific platforms; ability to learn new systems quickly).
- Geospatial analysis tools, particularly ArcGIS Pro; familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise environments is a strong plus.

Our Firmware
At Metrea, our single core value, Rooted in Humility, and our four cornerstone attributes—Entrepreneurial, Systematic, Discerning, and Over-Deliver. These form what we call our Teammate Firmware. Just like technical firmware connects software and hardware, our Firmware is the constant interface between our mission and our people. It defines how we show up, how we work together, and how we solve complex problems.
Our team Firmware creates a web-like, hyper-collaborative, dynamically hierarchical way of working that helps us adapt quickly, communicate openly, and distribute decision-making to where expertise actually lives. It enables groups to self-organize around hard problems, shift fluidly as priorities evolve, and operate with the trust, curiosity, and discipline required in a complex mission space. This foundation allows us to deliver elegant, effective solutions and uphold our purpose: protecting our precious inheritance.
