Job Description

Term:  39 weeks; School Calendar Year; 7.5 hours per day



Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Answer attendance phones

  • Make attendance phone calls

  • Check and call all questionable written excuses

  • Write early dismissal passes for students

  • Input tardiness and early dismissals

  • Mark all schedule changes on student schedules

  • Work with Attendance Officer

  • Put teacher's daily absence list in mailboxes

  • Write up bus pass requests and have the passes signed by the assistant principal

  • Keep order in attendance office

  • Check to make sure students have passes to be in the office

  • Enter attendance corrections in computer

  • Print a copy of a student's daily attendance upon the request of student or teacher

  • Help principals when needed

  • Miscellaneous help for other secretaries

  • Other related duties upon request



Education and Experience

  • High school graduate or GED

  • Proficiency in typing

  • Knowledge of office procedures, office equipment, and machines

  • Record keeping skills

  • Previous secretarial experience preferred

  • Confidentiality

  • Excellent interpersonal

  • Knowledge of PowerSchool student system



Salary and Benefits

 



Payment Type:  $14.30 / per hour



 



Benefits:  Per MCESP Agreement
