Summary:
The Director, Strategic Accounts is responsible for leading enterprise‑level engagement with large orthopedic groups, large anesthesia groups, orthopedic‑aligned GPOs, and multi‑site specialty practices. This role drives strategic adoption, access alignment, utilization expansion, and long‑term partnership development for Pacira’s non‑opioid pain management portfolio. The director will work closely with cross functional partners within market access as well as the field sales team.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute enterprise‑level strategic account plans for large orthopedic and anesthesia groups.
- Lead high‑level discussions with physician group executives, anesthesia leaders, practice managers, and clinical decision‑makers regarding product adoption, workflow integration, and clinical value.
- Identify business opportunities within high‑value groups and create initiatives to drive procedural utilization and market share expansion.
- Lead discussions related to pricing, access, and economic modeling in partnership with Market Access and National Accounts.
- Communicate clinical and economic value propositions to surgeons, anesthesiologists, practice administrators, ASC owners, and operational leaders.
- Support aligned pull‑through of GPO or large‑group agreements across associated sites and affiliated health systems.
- Analyze utilization trends, procedural mix, growth opportunities, adoption barriers, and contracting implications to inform strategic decision‑making.
- Provide timely, accurate reports on account performance, strategic risks, and cross‑functional needs.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Market Access team, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Field Sales to deploy unified messaging and support clinical, educational, and economic initiatives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree Required
- MBA, Pharm.D., BSN preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation abilities.
- Existing relationships with large geographic-based account a plus
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare landscape.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Pay Transparency
The base pay range for this role is $171,200 per year to $235,400 per year.
The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications. Depending on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered.
