What You’ll Do

As the Site Supervisor, you will supervise and manage employees and assets at the Red Lake, Ontario site consisting of preparing and delivering daily orders to customers. You will be responsible for delivering Dyno Nobel’s non-negotiable Zero Harm safety program as well as the company’s financial objectives. Other duties will include:

  • Scheduling manpower and equipment utilization, preparing proper shipping documents and addressing customer requests

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external customers 

  • Prepare and submit proper paperwork to document expenses, shipping documents, safety statistics, payroll information, and others as required

  • Lead employees into all aspects of our safety programs and policies

  • When required, participate in customer meetings to help plan and execute work in a safe and timely fashion

  • Assist with implementation and development of Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma, technical / trade school or equivalency

  • Prior supervisory experience would be considered an asset

  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

  • Experience in mining operations, mining-related industries, or explosives would be considered as assets

  • Valid DZ license required

  • Ability to comply to all regulatory company and industry standards in terms of pre-hire backchecks/verifications, medical requirements, and substance clearance
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
