We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled and supportive home health care team.
Position Summary:
As a Home Health COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions that help patients regain the skills necessary for daily living and safety at home. You will support patients in achieving independence, monitor progress, and document care using the Net Health EMR system.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising OT and in accordance with the plan of care
Assist patients in improving motor skills, coordination, cognitive functioning, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Provide caregiver education and training on adaptive strategies and home safety
Document all patient care and progress using the Net Health EMR system
Participate in care coordination with the interdisciplinary home health team
Observe, record, and report patient progress and response to interventions
Ensure services comply with all regulatory, payer, and agency standards
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current and unrestricted COTA license in Pennsylvania
CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Prior home health experience preferred, but not required – we offer training
Comfortable using EMRs; experience with Net Health a plus
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a home health setting
