Position Summary

As a Plating Technician, you will be responsible for applying metal coatings to various substrates through electroplating processes. You will ensure high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations. 


  

Key Positions Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Set up and operate electroplating equipment according to specifications.
  • Prepare surfaces for plating by cleaning, polishing, and masking as required.
  • Monitor plating processes, adjusting parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct inspections of plated parts for quality assurance, identifying defects and inconsistencies.
  • Maintain proper chemical balances and perform regular maintenance on plating baths.
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide support in troubleshooting issues.

Requirements

 Education and/or Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent


  

Preferred 

· Technical training in electroplating or a related field 

· Previous experience in electroplating, metal finishing, or a similar role 

· Strong understanding of electroplating processes and related chemistry 

· Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting 

· Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills 

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
