Job Description: Project Expert – Global Service Growth Team (GSGT)
Position Summary
The Project Expert is a key member of the Global Service Growth Team (GSGT), responsible for driving service performance improvement projects across global service operations. This role blends project management, FBS coaching, cross-functional coordination, and structured standardization to ensure consistent, scalable, and sustainable improvements. The Project Expert acts as a regional site owner for GSGT activities, serving as the primary connection point into global rollups and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
FBS Standard Work & Coaching
- Implement, coach, and standardize the use of FBS practices across service cells globally.
- Serve as a guide to ensure consistent adoption of visual management, problem-solving methods, and daily/weekly accountability routines.
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead project planning includes resourcing, timing, cost modeling, and risk identification.
- Support financial planning activities including preparation and submission of CARs for improvement initiatives.
- Manage the project funnel, ensuring prioritization and progression through DVM participation, cross-team input, and escalation when required.
- Contribute to or lead nontechnical transformation initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Function as a bridge to external stakeholder groups including Metrology, Quality, IT, Compliance, etc. to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
- Coordinate global equipment transfers or procurement activities, with a specific focus on shared assets and optimized utilization.
GSGT Program Ownership
- Serve as the regional GSGT Site Owner, ensuring consistent execution of global initiatives and alignment to expectations of service PD leaders and the broader service leadership team.
- Maintain basic PPL (Project Portfolio List) health, ensuring accuracy in prioritization and implementation planning.
Global Deployment, Training & Site Enablement (50% Travel)
- Travel globally to support deployments.
- Ensure sites are fully enabled.
- Support procurement and readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- 4+ years of experience in applicable fields
- Experience in service operations or manufacturing, operational excellence, continuous improvement, or project management.
- Demonstrated familiarity with FBS tools and methodologies (or other lean/continuous improvement systems).
- Strong project planning, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to influence without authority across global and regional teams.
- High attention to detail, structured problem-solving capability, and a bias for turning strategy into execution.
