Job Description

We are a full-service mechanical contractor providing customers in the commercial, residential, and industrial sectors with innovative, energy-efficient heating and air conditioning services, automation and controls, industrial piping, new construction design and installation, and maintenance and replacement services.

Newcomb and Company is seeking a Warehouse Driver. The Warehouse Driver delivers equipment and materials, including vendor deliveries, jobsite returns, and scheduled pickups.

  • Assist the Warehouse Team Lead (WTL) with routine inspections of all department vehicles and tools for signs of wear and tear.
  • Perform hands-on movement of materials, including managing incoming and outgoing deliveries, and loading/unloading vehicles.
  • Participate in scheduled warehouse inventories—monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Conduct weekly spot checks to assess inventory levels and identify replenishment needs.
  • Deliver materials to project sites as needed.
  • Provide support at job sites when required.
  • Assist with general warehouse tasks such as trash removal, unloading and disposing of returned materials, yard cleaning, and mowing.
  • Accurately label and identify all incoming materials by project.
  • Follow established procedures for monitoring all materials brought into the warehouse for inventory tracking.
  • Adhere to systems for tracking materials removed from the warehouse for inventory and job costing purposes.
  • Comply with processes for scheduling and tracking incoming deliveries, verifying packing slips, forwarding documentation to accounting, and updating the Ordered Materials/Equipment Sheet.
  • Follow procedures for scheduling and tracking all outgoing job deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of specialized tools and equipment checked out to field personnel.
  • Interact respectfully and courteously with coworkers at all times.
  • Must adhere to and participate in the company safety program.
  • Be aware of OSHA safety requirements and enforce in all areas.
  • This position requires a high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent forklift skills and forklift license are
  • Possess a clean, valid NC Class C Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work 40 - 45 hours a week.
