Description
Under general supervision of the Café Manager and Branch Associate Executive Director this position is responsible for providing a sanitary and safe environment at the Y Café. This position will be tasked with Preparing food in an appealing, efficient and inviting manner that adheres to the Board of Health Regulations.
CORE EXPECTATIONS:
- Preparing food and beverages based on menu of the Café.
- Ensures proper labeling and storage of all food products in all components of the Café.
- Leads all storage and utilization of surplus products; rotate stock.
- Follows all guidelines put in place by Café Manager.
- Receive direction for limited and unsupervised tasks.
- Provides the highest customer service to all members and program participants.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 16 years or older.
- The ability to develop positive, effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and members is important to this position.
- Effective delivery of consistent customer service and a high level of enthusiasm are equired.
- Completion or in the process of attaining ServeSafe certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to: climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach with hands, sit, stand for extended period, walk, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, have finger dexterity grasp, perform repetitive motions, talk, hear and have visual acuity.
