The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by assisting guests with check-in, check-out, and inquiries while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This position plays a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth front desk operations during the evening shift from 4 PM to 12 AM.

Responsibilities:

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Greet and register guests and owners promptly, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in/check-out experience
  • Verify all reservation details at check-in, including guest information, payment method, and departure date
  • Coordinate guest service requests with housekeeping, bell services, and reservations teams
  • Communicate room status updates (checkouts, late checkouts, early check-ins) to housekeeping in a timely manner
  • Handle cash, credit card, and traveler’s check transactions in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and guest information while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with policies
  • Provide information about room types, rates, resort amenities, and local attractions
  • Answer incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette and company standards
  • Utilize the property management system to manage reservations and guest accounts
  • Stay informed on group functions, including event locations, schedules, and services offered
  • Follow all safety and security procedures; report any incidents, unsafe conditions, or suspicious activity
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding issues, guest concerns, or operational updates
  • Deliver high-quality customer service in a fast-paced hospitality environment


Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-service environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
  • Ability to handle cash and perform basic financial transactions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
