Job Description

The Value Advisor is a pivotal, strategic partner to our sales organization, instrumental in securing large, complex enterprise deals. This role requires a unique blend of deep domain expertise in finance transformation, modern accounting practices, and the broader enterprise software landscape. Value Advisors are the critical link between a prospect's complex business challenges and our solutions, responsible for articulating compelling business value, quantifying ROI, and mapping a clear path to success for our most strategic customers.

  • Act as the lead strategic partner for the sales and services teams throughout the entire deal lifecycle for high-priority accounts, from discovery and solution design through to the final proposal;

  • Lead in-depth, executive-level workshops to uncover customer pain points, understand their current finance operating model, and prioritize key business objectives;

  • Develop and present comprehensive business cases and value assessments, including detailed ROI and TCO analysis, to gain cross-functional alignment from customer stakeholders;

  • Serve as the primary customer-facing resource for complex technical and architectural discussions, demonstrating how our platform integrates within their broader enterprise application ecosystem;

  • Architect and manage strategic Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements when required to prove the solution's value and accelerate the closing of large, complex opportunities;

  • Collaborate closely with product and marketing teams to identify market needs and product gaps, providing direct feedback from the field to influence product strategy and roadmap enhancements;

  • Drive the go-to-market strategy by assisting in the creation of key assets such as workshop enablers, competitive comparisons, whitepapers, webcasts, and robust demonstration scenarios;

  • Develop and maintain deep industry expertise, staying current on finance transformation trends, emerging regulations, and the competitive landscape;

  • Lead enablement sessions for the broader sales and solutions consulting community, training them on value selling methodologies and best practices;

  • Build and nurture relationships with key industry influencers and partners within the financial transformation ecosystem to generate new opportunities and strengthen our market position.

 
  • We are open to professionals from two primary backgrounds:

    • Consulting/Advisory: Experience in a consultancy or advisory firm, focusing on financial transformation projects;

    • SaaS Professionals: Experience as a Value Advisor, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Consultant within an accounting or accounting-adjacent SaaS environment;

  • Possess approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in one of the fields above;

  • A deep understanding of accounting principles is essential for establishing credibility and effectively engaging with senior finance leaders;

  • Exhibit a strong, strategic, and consultative mindset with a proven talent for connecting complex technical solutions to tangible business value and strategic imperatives;

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of how enterprise finance systems (e.g., ERPs, consolidation tools, etc.) operate and how data flows through core financial processes;

  • Proven experience creating and delivering compelling, executive-level presentations and commanding a room of senior stakeholders;

  • Exhibit exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with an ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences;

  • A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to "roll up your sleeves" and fill gaps where necessary to ensure customer success.
