Description

Essential Functions:       

• Build advanced automated test suites to exercise our world-class applications.
• Work with the development and test engineering teams to automate testing.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies.
• Drive test automation and framework development.
• Training and mentoring other team members.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 1+ year professional work experience in applications development and/or test automation; (Project work or internships may be considered in lieu of experience for new graduates.)
• Scripting experience using Python is a must.
• Selenium experience, either with a tool or scripting language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent coding skill in C, C++, or Java
• Experience with Python and other scripting languages
• Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments
• Strong knowledge of Web standards and protocols, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS and HTTP
• Experience testing mobile applications highly desirable

Work Environment

• General office.  Use of PC and multiple software applications.  No special physical demands required.

Summary

Position Summary:

At Bridgeway we approach testing differently -- we are testing, and breaking, code constantly, but we help rebuild it better. Automation Engineers design Bridgeway's testing infrastructure and write code to examine and validate large-scale software development and deployments. As a member of this team, you partner with software developers to create and code tests concurrently with product development. You build tools that help developers be more productive, write better code and test it themselves. Troubleshooting is an understatement; it's more like trouble-forecasting.
