Social Media Manager 

Department: Digital Platforms

Location: Remote

Reports to: Manager of Digital Distribution
 

Summary:

Do you have a passion for sharing the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ through social media? TBN is searching for a Social Media Manager to join our growing Digital Platforms team. The Social Media Manager at TBN is responsible for developing and executing innovative digital strategies that grow our online presence, strengthen audience engagement, and expand the reach of our ministry across platforms. This role oversees content creation, publishing, monetization and performance analysis for social media channels, ensuring that all messaging aligns with TBN’s mission to lead audiences into a deeper relationship and understanding of the Kingdom of God. 

The Social Media Manager will curate compelling content campaigns, manage community interactions, and stay ahead of digital trends to maximize impact. Technical responsibilities include video editing, creation of custom thumbnails/graphics, uploading to respective platforms, and writing/optimizing metadata, etc. This position will report directly to the Manager of Digital Distribution.
 
Responsibilities and Duties

  • Video editing and media handling.
  • Developing platform-specific social strategies to support growth, engagement, monetization, etc.
  • Video uploading and scheduling.
  • Copywriting and optimizing titles, descriptions, and tags.
  • Proofreading captions.
  • Monitoring and replying to comments.
  • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of social platforms.
  • Coordinating collaborations, cross-promotional activities, and influencer assessments.
  • Building community engagement on platforms.
  • Staying informed of platform updates and utilizing new features.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2-4 years relevant experience working with all relevant social platforms.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Passion for creating impactful and sharable content.
  • YouTube Certified in Audience Growth and/or very familiar with best practices for SEO and discoverability.
  • Expert time and project management skills to handle multiple assignments and complete complex jobs under deadline pressure.
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced video production environment while maintaining production standards and efficiency.
  • Meticulous attention to quality, detail, and project organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to write in a clear, concise, professional manner.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience working with all key social media video platforms. (E.g. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Snapchat, etc.).
  • Experience working in Christian media or a passion for faith-based storytelling.
  • Appreciation of, and familiarity with, TBN's content and programming.
