Who We Are
Xtensys, a recently established managed service provider, delivers cutting-edge technology to health systems, starting in NY and expanding beyond. Owned by two industry leaders focused on innovation in rural and community health, we are rapidly growing with several major initiatives underway. We are seeking an experienced Epic Analyst, Healthy Planet, to join our team of 500 and support our exciting journey. We value people and we’re building a culture to match. If you are a collaborative, innovative, and strategic leader, we’d love to talk.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the EpicCare Ambulatory Application Manager, the Epic Analyst, Healthy Planet provides intermediate system-level support of multi-user clinical and financial applications, operating systems, hardware, software, and reporting tools, including installation, configuration, training, maintenance, and support of these systems. Requires intermediate knowledge of systems analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts and methodology. Able to lead and participate in project planning sessions. Ability to establish project goals, milestones, and procedures. Able to manage projects with varying levels of complexity. The Application Analyst works with project leaders on several aspects of project planning to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
At Xtensys, we don’t just fill roles; we empower owners. To succeed here, you should be a self-starter who thrives on autonomy and finds fulfillment in seeing complex projects through to the finish line.
• Self-Directed Initiative: You don't wait for a roadmap—you help draw it. You take true ownership of your work, anticipating needs before they arise and offering constructive solutions that keep the team moving forward.
• A Focus on Results: You have a "get it done" mentality. You’re comfortable setting ambitious goals, defining what success looks like, and navigating obstacles through research and collaboration. While you value the process (like our incident and change management protocols), your eyes are always on the deadline.
• Steady Under Pressure: Growth comes with change, and you handle it with poise. You remain calm and focused during stressful situations, acting as a stabilizing force for the team and staying open-minded when priorities shift.
• Creative Problem Solving: You aren't afraid to challenge the status quo. We value fresh perspectives and want you to lead brainstorming sessions, take calculated risks, and encourage a culture of continuous innovation.
• Project Leadership: Whether you’re leading a high-complexity project or participating in a planning session, you understand the "why" behind the "how." You’re skilled at setting milestones, identifying risks early, and pulling together the right resources to ensure a win.
• Mission-Driven Mindset: You believe in what we’re building. You’ll incorporate the Xtensys vision into your daily decisions, generating enthusiasm and keeping our long-term goals at the heart of your planning.
• Continuous Growth: You are your own best advocate for development. You have a restless curiosity and a drive to expand your skillset, constantly seeking out knowledge-sharing opportunities to elevate both yourself and your teammates.
Who You Are & What You’ll Bring
You are a solutions-oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of healthcare and technology. You enjoy the "detective work" of troubleshooting as much as the "teamwork" of a large-scale rollout. Whether you are translating complex clinical needs into technical builds or mentoring a colleague, you bring a high degree of ownership and clarity to everything you do.
• Experienced Healthcare Technologist: You bring at least 3 years of experience in technology, healthcare, or a related field. You have a comprehensive understanding of application support and the unique demands of a clinical environment.
• A Collaborative Partner: You don't work in a silo. You excel at partnering with outside departments to promote, educate, and train teams on new applications, ensuring everyone feels confident in the tools we provide.
• Strategic Translator: You have the rare ability to gather and translate complex business or clinical requirements into elegant technical solutions. You serve as the "bridge" that ensures our technology truly serves the mission.
• Cross-Functional Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment, easily coordinating with clinical, operational, and technical teams to hit project milestones. You’re comfortable both giving and receiving constructive feedback to help the team grow.
• Independent Specialist & Mentor: You are a disciplined self-starter who can manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance and meticulous attention to detail. You are ready to serve as the primary resource for at least one application module and are eager to offer guidance to fellow team members.
• Expert Problem Solver: When challenges arise, you don’t just identify them—you analyze, troubleshoot, and propose the solutions. Your communication skills (both verbal and written) ensure that stakeholders at all levels are kept in the loop and aligned.
Education/Certifications
• Bachelors Information Technology or Bachelors Other, preferred
• Healthy Planet certifications is required
Travel Requirements
• Up to 25% (implementation milestones, etc.)
Physical Requirements

Why Join Us
• Autonomy & Ownership: You’ll manage projects with varying complexity, leading planning sessions and defining what success looks like.
• A Culture of Innovation: We value fresh perspectives. Here, you’re encouraged to take risks, drive brainstorming, and drive continuous improvement.
• Mission-Driven Work: You’ll be the "bridge" ensuring our technology truly serves health systems and their patients.
• Continuous Growth: We support your "restless curiosity." You’ll have opportunities to expand your skillset and mentor others along the way.
