Position Purpose:

· Performs concurrent chart audits for the purpose of charging, identifying, and correcting charge omissions, documentation deficiencies, and unsupported charges. · Identifies department charting trends and provides information to leadership team. · Collects data required according to the regulatory standards. |

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Certifications: Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Skills and Knowledge: · Ability to utilize resources and work independently. · Ability to plan and organize work assignments in an efficient manner. · Effective written and oral communication skills. · Computer literate, experience in the use of spreadsheets, Internet, and word processing software. · Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and all levels of management. |

Experience: · Previous healthcare experience. · Previous completion of medical terminology course. |
