Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Production Engineer to optimize our manufacturing processes and ensure efficient production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving production efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and reducing costs through process improvements and technology implementation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.



RESPONSIBILITIES: 



•    Oversee and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.

•    Design, implement, and maintain production workflows and equipment.  Increase operating available time through change-over process

     optimization (SMED).

•    Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.

•    Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

•    Collaborate with the R&D and quality assurance teams to improve product quality and reduce production scrap.

•    Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives while sustaining quality.

•    Troubleshoot production issues and recommend corrective actions.

•    Train and support production staff on new processes and equipment, and develop standardized work.

•    Monitor production KPIs and prepare reports for management.

•    Oversee and optimize manufacturing processes that results in enhanced capability, productivity and efficiency.  Processes include:

•    CNC Machining (vertical mill, 5-axis mill, Swiss screw and lathe), coiling, laser cutting / laser welding, small parts assembly, lost wax casting,

      finishing / polishing, and packaging.

•    Contribute to development and sustaining effort of manufacturing KPI’s.  Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.

•    Performs other related duties as assigned. 



SKILLS: 



•    Strong understanding of high-volume manufacturing processes, automation, and lean methodologies.

•    Proficiency in CAD software, process simulation, and data analysis tools.

•    Experience in ISO9001 preferred. 

•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to deliver results through root cause / corrective action activities.

•    Strong communication and leadership abilities.

•    Self-starter with strong initiative and demonstrated leadership ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

•    Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing is preferred.

•    Familiar with ERP systems (ex: NetSuite) and production planning tools.

•    Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.



QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 



•    Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred or equivalent

     experience preferred.

•    Proven experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role.  5+ years experience with demonstrated progression.
