Job Description
Overview:

The Director of Programs will develop quality programs, based on the three priority outcomes, and strategize with other leadership personnel to execute effective youth programming.

 

Salary: Pay ranges from $38,000-$50,000 annually. D.O.E. (Full-Time)



Responsibilities:

Job Description: 

  • Develop and oversee programs across all BGC Fullerton locations that meet the three priority outcomes: Healthy Lifestyle, Academic Success, and Good Character & Citizenship. 
  • Oversee Literacy programming and Jr. NBA Program. 
  • Train staff members on the fundamentals of club programs, as part of their onboarding.
  • Regularly evaluate, monitor, and create action plans for staff to achieve quality program implementation.
  • Network with community agencies to create opportunities for partnerships for specialized programs. 
  • Research techniques and tools for program assessments, beneficial to program development. 
  • Collaborate with the Director of Resource Development to strategize grant initiatives. 
  • Work with Coordinators and Site Supervisors to discuss areas of improvement and best practices for youth development and programming.
  • Complete grant reports related directly to club programs, on a quarterly basis. 
  • Promote the safety of all members and enforce all BGCF Policies and Procedures. 
  • Assist with organization-wide events or fundraisers (Auction, Golf Tournament, Youth of the Year, etc.)
  • Register on bgca.org and the EdApp for training opportunities and attend local trainings as requested.
  • May be asked to facilitate and train YDP’s on a quarterly basis. 
  • May be asked to fill in as a Site Supervisor, Staff, or Driver as needed. 
  • May be asked to collect and compile monthly program reports.
  • Assist with additional tasks as requested by the Director of Operations.


Qualifications:

Skills/Knowledge: 

  • 1 Year of experience working with youth.
  • 2 Years of experience working at a Boys & Girls Club.(Preferred)
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, writing, public speaking, and management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.
  • Ability to travel to all sites as needed.
